Sprig operates a real-time, event-based customer research platform that processes hundreds of millions of events per day with sub-second latencies. Like most startups, we decided to just use Postgres at the beginning. However, the business grew faster than expected and we pushed Postgres beyond its limits. This talk covers our journey from Postgres to ClickHouse + Redis, then to ScyllaDB—with scaling lessons learned at each step.
